AK stock from KPyk: the one for you, not one for all

A comfortable stock is the key to effective weapon handling. Throughout its history, the AK platform has lacked the ability to adjust the stock to suit individual shooters, whether based on a soldier’s body type or specific mission requirements.

Soviet-designed firearms were created with a "one-size-fits-all" mindset, which in reality suited only a limited group of soldiers. For some, the factory stock is too short; for others, too long. Folding stocks generally offered no real cheek weld comfort at all.

KPYK took on the challenge of making the AK platform more ergonomic by developing a fully adjustable stock—foldable and customizable along three axes — to tailor the rifle to the individual. This allows not only for anatomical personalization but also adaptation to gear setups and operational demands.

The ergonomics revolution

The CRC 5002 stock series is built on a universal platform that, with the use of adapters, can be installed on most AK variants and modifications, as well as on RPKs and civilian models.

When switching weapons, the only required change is the adapter, allowing transition from fixed to folding mechanisms, which are available in both left- and right-folding versions.

Compatibility is a welcome bonus. The real value of the CRC 5002 line lies in its comfort and adaptability. KRUUK stocks provide a proper cheek weld through multiple adjustment options, ensuring optimal positioning even when wearing body armor.

The stock's length of pull can be adjusted from 200 mm to 270 mm, accommodating different arm lengths and body types. Even if you're generally comfortable with the factory AK stock, shorter length settings offer superior control when wearing armor—and the CRC 5002 allows for just that.

The cheek rest locks securely in one of four positions and can be raised up to 20 mm—ideal when using mounted optics, especially those installed via dovetail side mounts or receiver cover rail systems.

The buttpad can be adjusted vertically by up to 30 mm, ensuring a stable shoulder weld tailored to the shooter. The rubberized pad prevents slipping against clothing or gear.

For easier transport, the CRC 5002 is available in a folding configuration, both left- and right-side folding. It locks firmly into place using a tensioned rotating hinge, particularly useful when riding in vehicles or navigating tight spaces.

All KPYK stocks come with mounting points for both standard sling loops and QD sling swivels. Choose whatever carry method works best for you. We also offer QD sling swivels compatible with 25 mm (narrow slings) and 38–40 mm slings (wide AK/Magpul slings), along with both straight and angled QD sockets—check out CRC 9039 and CRC 9041 on our website.

Wooden fixed stocks and flimsy wire-folder AK stocks are relics of the past. In modern combat conditions, they have no place. By choosing a modern stock, you're investing in a reliable and ergonomic tool for accurate and effective shooting.
